Welcome to Healthy Christchurch

Healthy Christchurch is an intersectoral initiative aimed at fostering collaboration between organisations who have signed The Healthy Christchurch Charter.

There are currently over 200 Charter Signatories, ranging from government agencies, businesses, voluntary sector groups and networks. The specialist focus of the signatories ranges from children’s welfare to sport, from the arts to literacy.

Healthy Christchurch signatories are working on a number of projects. We have a number of project reports, resources and other documents on this website.

A Call To Action

Healthy Christchurch signatories are encouraged to print out the attached postcard then send to your local Members of Parliament. It’s FREE!!! to post.
Distribution of the pdf or printed postcards to your networks is also encouraged.

The vote MPs will cast sometime this year will be the first real opportunity in years to change New Zealand’s heavy drinking culture and show the country that government is serious about the health and wellbeing of its people.
